Kota is the industrial centre (mainly for chemicals) powered by the hydroelectric plants on the Chambal River in Rajasthan. Rao Madho Singh Museum, in contrast, is superb. In the Museum you will find displays of weapons, clothing and shoe of the ebstpreserved murals in the state. There are some more excellent views in and around the city. Today Kota serves as an army headquarters.
