Born and brought-up in Hyderabad, India, the second silicon valley of India, Shilpi did her entire high school in Hyderabad, then B.Tech. from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and then M.S. (Computer Sc.) from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark, NJ. She worked in the U.S. for some time, and in Hyderabad for some. When Amit asked her the all too important question, the response was positive, and Amit feels fortunate to have found her as the love of his life. They married each other on April 26, 2002. Currently, they live happily in Austin, TX. Shilpi is working in software for Texas Education Agency.
